Thank You!

Joe and I once again set aside a bit of time to use the sets I had ready for the Holiday Mini Sessions.  The cats did NOT want to participate, but we managed to get a few good pictures with them.  We tried bribing them with treats to get a good picture of just the two of them together, but even that didn't work too well...  😅

I always want to end the year attempting to express just how thankful I am to all of my clients.  I don't think I can ever properly put into words what photography means to me, but I hope that my pictures can speak for themselves.  Admittedly, this year was a bit rough for me, and my lack of advertising was definitely part of the problem.  I truly didn't expect to struggle this much, but I know there is always more for me to learn and ways for me to grow.  For most of this year, I felt like I was floundering.  I don't know how it happened, but I have gotten very far behind which is also preventing me from posting like I want to.  But I have a lot of hope for 2026 that I will get caught up quickly and find my footing again.  So thank you again to those who have been a support to me.  Photography brings me immense joy, and in 2026, I plan to share so much more.  ❤

Tidwell's Mini Session

This family is so special to me as I've known Ben for a long time.  He was a kid in the Youth Group at church when I helped run the program.  Then, when he was graduating, I took his senior photos.  We were actually even in the same place!  Now he's married with one kid and one on the way.  And we are coworkers!  It's been such a full circle moment for me to work along Ben at First Missionary Church as he is now the Youth Pastor.  It's so cool to see the awesome ways God works!

afO's Longing for the Light 2025

I have to admit that on the particular day I was there to photograph this, I was not feeling very 'Christmasy'.  I was reflecting on the extremely quiet Thanksgiving that my husband and I had, and anticipating more waves of grief hitting me as Christmas drew nearer.  This time of year is hard for me as I miss so many family members that have passed away.  But as the show began, I found myself quietly singing along between taking pictures.  And before I realized it, the weight of grief was gone.  The beauty of the songs and dance, the laughter of Ben and Hannah's story, and the retelling of Jesus' glorious coming as a baby were more than enough to realign my perspective and soothe my heart.  I hope if you also struggle with the holidays, that you set aside a couple of hours to see this wonderful show!

afO's Longing for the Light 2025 Cast and Crew

This group once again put on such a lovely production of Longing for the Light!  Don't miss your chance to see this!  Also, Brent and Sarita felt they deserved their own picture as the crew for this, and of course I obliged.  😂

Piohia's Fall Session

I absolutely loved meeting this couple! They are so utterly sweet and fun to be around.  Their love for each other shone so brightly as they naturally held each other close.  And we had the most perfect, beautiful weather and stunning colors.  💛

FortLAN

I had the privilege of joining my husband for this awesome event that IEN did in partnership with FortLAN.  The kids had so much fun!  This was a mix of highschoolers and students from Indiana Tech.  The collage kids were especially vocal as they played.  I loved hearing laughter, excitement and comradery.
