IEN State Finals 2026

 The Indiana Esports Network (IEN) had their State Finals for 2026 last weekend at Riverview Health Areana at Innovation Mile in Noblesville.  Joe has been the Executive Director of IEN for the last 4 years, which also means this is the 4th time I've photographed this event.  Joe has spent a massive amount of time the last 8 months to pull off this awesome event.  There were over 50 teams competing for 28 state championships.  This was the largest scholastic Esports event in the country with over 1,000 attendees!  I took a lot of pictures, so here are just some of my favorites.  Enjoy!

afO's The God Committee

 Like I said in my last post, this show was really, really good.  I was so easily and quickly drawn into the drama and tension of this situation of a committee trying to agree on which patient would get a heart that became available.  There was such a natural flow between the yelling and tension of the whole group to tender moments between just a couple of them as people moved in and out of the room throughout the whole time.  Throughout the show, I found myself thinking about how this was a representation of something that happens with real people, and it gave me such a heavy feeling on behalf of those who actually do this.  At the end, I found myself glancing at my watch to see how long it had been because it had felt too short to be over.  Overall, it was such a beautiful story and well-done show!
