Derby Clan

I had the privilege of photographing this group again, but this time, there were a couple of boys in the mix of grandkids! Unfortunately, it was insanely hot and we had to work extremely quickly as the kids were struggling so much.  But they are a cute bunch, even as sweaty as they got!  Haha!

Jack's 18 month Milestone

I've had the honor of photographing this family since Charlie was just 6 months old and now his younger brother, Jack, is 18 months old!  Time sure does fly!  These boys are unbelievably sweet, and I just loved watching them interact with each other.  Charlie loves climbing trees, and he's actually ridiculously good at it.  Jack likes trying to do whatever his big bro is doing, which is so cute.  Jack also decided he loved the little chair I brought and carried it around even though it was almost as big as him.  Thankfully he was cool with me taking it back.  Haha!  😅

Young Playwrights Festival Day 1

I was glad to be asked to photograph the Young Playwrights Festival again this year!  This festival is a two day event featuring the winning plays from 4 divisions.  The first night is always so cute with all the little kids.  I love seeing the imagination they have.  I can usually count on at least one play including some sort of mythical creatures like dragons or unicorns.  As always, all the performers did a great job!

Young Playwrights Festival is such a wonderful program that has been operating for over a decade and provides a unique opportunity to students grades kindergarten through 12 to learn how to write a play and get a good look at the work needed to bring a play to life through a performance.

Matthew and Sisters

A couple weeks ago I was able to go visit Matthew's family as they were finally all home together so I could take pictures of him with his sisters.  He had turned 3 months old that day and had grown quite a bit since I last saw him.  I just love how expressive he is!  His sisters were obsessed with the doll bed I brought to put him in.  They couldn't believe how perfectly he fit on it.  They are already learning how to be good, helpful big sisters to this special little guy.

Prayers are so appreciated for this wonderful family as they continue to adjust and learn how to care for their precious boy.  💗
