Matthew James Scott

 This session was one of the most special ones I've been asked to do, and became the first newborn session done at Parkview's PICU.  The day I went to the PICU, Matthew was one month old and had spent most of that month in the PICU.  Despite having such a rough start to life outside of the womb, he smiled so much while I was there!  I really wasn't sure what to expect for doing a session at the hospital, but in the end, it worked out quite well.  His mama had a couple of special blankets that we spread over his hospital bed as a backdrop.  💙

Matthew is still in the hospital as he continues to have difficulty breathing.  Prayers are appreciated for him and his family!  After he finally gets home and settled, I'll be doing a short follow-up session to include his sisters.  😊

afO's Daddy Long Legs

I thoroughly enjoyed this show so I really didn't mind seeing it a second time for the understudies!  All four performers were wonderful!  Only 3 out of the 4 musicians were there for the rehearsal I was photographing, but I was really impressed with them too.  The live music was the perfect touch to this intimate story with just two characters.  Seeing this re-awoken my love for musicals, and I've been listening to various ones while working these last couple weeks.  Anyways, here are some of my favorite pictures.  The first set is with the main actors.

The rest are from the second run through with the understudies.  We didn't quite go through the whole show again, but I was pleased to still get some wonderful, key moments for them to remember their performance by. 

afO's Daddy Long Legs Casts

I really enjoyed afO's production of Daddy Long Legs!  This was a unique situation as for the first time in afO history, they had understudies.  Since this is a musical with only 2 cast members, it is very important for each role to be performed really well.  Since both sets of performers put SO much work into this, they each wanted pictures of their performance which meant that when I attended a rehearsal to photograph the show, we ran through it twice.  It was a long night, and we didn't actually go all the way through the second time with the understudies.  But it was fun to watch it twice!

afO's Daddy Long Legs PR

I'm excited for all for One's next production which is Daddy Long Legs!  I actually took these pictures in the fall, but am just now getting them posted.  What makes this show interesting is that afO actually has understudies which is a first for them.  I photographed both sets of main actors for these pictures.  We started at St. Francis  and roamed around while the sun was setting, and then went to a house that belonged to friends of afO so that we could use their study.  It was probably the biggest house I've ever been in and honestly was actually a mansion.  I didn't see that much of the house, but what I saw was impressive.
