Evelyn's Cake Smash

This cake smash session was actually the first session done in the new studio!  I felt a little weird starting out with something potentially so messy, but I also figured cake should always be a part of new beginnings, so in a way, it was the perfect session to celebrate the opening of the studio.  😊

I was so excited to photograph Evelyn again!  Isn't she SO adorable??!!?  She took some convincing to actually eat the cake.  At first she just wanted to play with the icing, but with some help from her mom, she was easily convinced to dig in.  She consistently traded back and forth between her hands the whole time.  She also stopped eating the cake when she noticed she had clumps of icing on her dress so that she could carefully clean herself up.  In the end, we barely had any cleaning up to do!

Please join me in wishing Evelyn a very happy birthday!!  ❤

This pretty pink cake was made by The Hopeful Epicurean!  You check her out by going to: https://www.facebook.com/thehopefulepicurean/

New Sessions, Packages, and STUDIO!

Hey my faithful followers!  I have SO much exciting news to share with you!  Actually, I meant to post a lot of this sooner, but I got too busy with sessions.  First, I have updated my website quite a lot, so I hope you check it out!  I updated the galleries where you can see samples of my work as well as purchase prints and products for yourself!  Truthfully, updating info and galleries will be a continual thing I do, so I hope you check back often.  Second, the most important updates to my website are new sessions and packages!  I took a long hard look at what I offer and found ways to simplify everything and provide packages to save you money!  To see what I offer, go to: https://www.rachelwilhelmphotography.com/new-life.  Sessions start at $125 and packages at $650.  Third and finally, the only way all of this was possible was because I have a new studio!!  Ahhh!!  All of these were ideas I have been tossing around for a while, but it didn't seem possible.  I have to give my husband tons of credit for all of this because night after night of me pouring out my fears, frustrations, and hopes to him, lead him to have the ideas of how to make these dreams of mine turn into a reality.  And this wasn't a distant reality, but something that happened so fast that I quickly became too busy to even let you all know!  So, without further ado, here are some pictures of my studio and behind the scenes of one of the new sessions I now offer!

Emmalyn Ann

Emmalyn was so tiny and precious!!  She also was quite expressive during our session.  I got to see her asleep and awake with grins and frowns.  I love being able to capture so much!  I'm also excited because I will get to photograph this darling again in just a few short months for her 3 month session!  I can't wait to see how much she will grow over the next year!!

afO's Bentley

This was a delightful play to watch because the cast was so talented!  I'd love to say more, but truth is, I'm getting behind on my blog posts, so to save time, the pictures will have to speak for themselves!  Enjoy!  😊

afO's Bentley Cast

The cast of Bentley is AWESOME!  I'm sure a large part of that is that the script itself is so good.  But seriously, they are all so fun to watch!  You have two chances left to see this world-premiere play!  Don't miss this!!  You can get your tickets by going to: https://allforonefw.org/currentproduction/

Cecily Ruth

I was SO excited to meet Cecily because I have photographed her brother and sister and this is such an awesome family!  Cecily was just so sweet and easy to photograph!  I think this has been the hardest blog post for me to do because it was SO hard to pick my favorite photos from this session!  I seriously don't think I have ever been so pleased with a session as a whole before.  I actually have printed 3 pictures from this session for myself, but you'll have to wait a couple weeks to find out why.  :)  Anyways, enough of my blabbing, check out these pictures!
