afO's Mary's Wedding

Mary's Wedding is a beautiful story of a dream that Mary has which starts at the end and ends at the start.  We see a young man and woman as they meet for the first time and quickly fall in love.  Charlie goes off to war and the dream moves back and forth as Mary remembers their time together as well as what Charlie told her in the letters he sent home.  It's such a beautiful, tragic story that reflected the love and the heartbreak, the joy and the pain, the hopefulness and the hopelessness that we all experience in this life.  This was a stunning portrayal that captured how these emotions are not usually one or the other, but often go hand in hand.  We are all hurt and broken from this life.  But even though the story isn't the happy ending we are rooting for, there is hope.

I loved this play, and I thought all for One's production of it was excellent.  I hope that if you have never been to an afO production that you will choose to go to one soon.  They do a variety of shows, and they are all high quality productions that you won't want to miss!  You can find out more by going to https://allforonefw.org/

afO's Mary's Wedding Cast

This was a small cast and crew, but they sure put on a beautiful show!  I loved it so much!  Hopefully in the next couple days I will get a chance to go through the pictures I took and pick my favorites to share with you.  It's going to be very difficult to narrow down though!  Even though the set and the outfits barely changed, the changing lights, the addition of fog, and the skill of the two actors in portraying such a huge range of emotions meant I got so many lovely pictures that it will be difficult to choose favorites!

These pictures were taken last fall to advertise for afO's next production called Mary's Wedding, but the show isn't until February 18 through 27.  I'm so glad that we were able to do these pictures when we did because we had the most perfect weather and such a beautiful location.  As I looked through the pictures again to pick my favorites to share here, I got excited all over again to see this production!

Jack Finnegan

Jack made a later appearance than what was expected, but he still managed to miss coming on a holiday, which I'm guessing he'll appreciate later in life.  😁  He didn't want to sleep at first, and then when he did, he tended to have a bit of a scowl.  😅  I had to move his hands out of his face a lot which didn't ever last long, and then he did a perfect pose showing off his hands, and I couldn't stop laughing.  He's so stinkin cute!  😍

I had to include the last picture because I can't get over how sweet Charlie is!  He's growing up so fast, and his smile melts me a bit.  He seems to be doing well as an older brother now.  😊

Susannah Lou

Isn't Susannah so darling??!  I always love seeing the creativity this family has for unique bookshelves!  Susannah looked so cute in her hot air balloon.  She probably would actually like a real balloon as she loved being rocked to sleep.  Once she was fully settled in, she kept smiling for me.  Such a little sweetheart!  😍

Nord Family

I really enjoyed meeting this family!  They clearly had a special bond that reminded me of the shenanigans my siblings and I got into.  In other words, the Nords were all way too excited at the prospect of throwing leaves at each other.  😂

Stace Family

I typically don't work on holidays as I want to be spending time with my family.  But every year I get a handful of requests from families wanting pictures of everyone who has gathered together to celebrate the holidays.  This year I decided to take on a couple family sessions after Thanksgiving, and I'm so glad I did!  Amongst the chaos of the holidays, there is always so much to be thankful for and that can be cherished for a lifetime, if only it is captured.  Seeing these little kids spending time with their great-grandparents is so special!  😍
