Alene Nicole - birth

My beautiful little niece arrived two weeks early!! She was born early yesterday morning! She weighs 7 pounds and is 19 inches long. :)

The cousins meeting for the first time!

Grandma drove from Chicago to see her first grandchild.

Melanie wasn’t planning on a natural birth, but Alene came so fast there wasn’t time for any normal procedures.

Grandpa held her for the first time, while Josiah waved to his cousin.

She briefly opened her eyes to look up at Grandpa before dozing off to sleep again.

First family picture!! Don’t they make an adorable family?!?

She has pretty blue eyes. :)

She is so tiny!!

I took these while I was holding her. She started crying when she realized that I wasn't her mother. :)

Congratulations David and Melanie! I hope she was the best anniversary gift for you two! :)

Olivia

You may recognize this beauty because I had the privilege of photographing her proposal.  And yesterday I had the honor of doing some senior photos for her.  It was unbelievably cold, but she toughed it out and we got some great shots.  These are some of my favorites that are specifically for her yearbook photo.

afO's The Princess and the Goblin - Cast and Crew

Not many of you may know this, but I am the photographer for a theater company called all for One.  My relationship with this wonderful group started when I was fairly young.  My dad has been with this company from the start and spent many years working behind the scenes, to eventually acting onstage, and then back to behind the scenes helping assist the director.  I kinda did the same. Over the years, I have worked as crew and have been a part of the cast, but now my role is photographer.  And let me tell you, I absolutely love it!  Their current play is The Princess and the Goblin.  I seriously had some trouble taking pictures because I couldn’t stop laughing!!  The play opens tonight and runs next weekend as well.  PLEASE don’t miss the opportunity to see this!!  It is awesome entertainment suited for your whole family!!
Here are some pictures of the cast and crew!  I will be posting more pictures soon!!  :)

Don't they all look like a fun group of people to spend the evening with?!?  Don't miss your chance!  You can purchase tickets by going to: http://allforonefw.wordpress.com/  :)

Growing Through the Cracks

We have yet another Winter Storm Watch. And this one looks like it will be pretty nasty. They are saying 6 to 10 inches of snow. I think the snow is beautiful. Seeing tiny, frozen crystals floating down from the sky can be mesmerizing, and yet when I see the simple beauty of this flower growing through the cracks, I am reminded once again of the warmth that I find myself missing so much this time of year.
