Thank you!

Joe and I did our yearly pictures in a couple of the sets I had for my Holiday Mini Sessions.  The cats did not want to cooperate at all this year.  Kira wasn't too bad, but Arien was in such a bad mood.  I think the third picture where she has her paw on Joe with her ears back really shows just how much she wanted us to be done with pictures.  😂  We decided to give up on getting a good one with the cats and went outside for a few by ourselves.

As I reflect on this past year, I want to start by saying a very heartfelt thank you to all of my clients!  You all bless me more than you could know, and I truly hope that the photographs I've taken for you all will continue to bless your families for generations.  💗

This past year was overall pretty amazing with lots of wonderful experiences I'll remember for the rest of my life.  We witnessed a total solar eclipse, pet wolves, and saw the auroras.  We did so much work on our house including renting a dumpster and tearing out our deck in preparation for having a stamped concrete patio.  We saw our favorite band called For King & Country in concert, went to various zoos, and tried lots of new restaurants.  It was a year of hustling and hard work but we got to enjoy the fruits of our labor through buying many of the things we had been saving for a long time to get.  We are so grateful for God's faithfulness to us and the way His guides us and gives us wisdom.  We'd be nothing without Him.

Thank You!

Thank you so much to all of my 2023 clients!  It's been such a fun year!  I truly hope that my photographs can be a blessing to you and your families for generations to come.  💗

Joe and I always test out the sets I do for the Holiday Mini Sessions.  We kept trading who had which cat because the cats would be perfect for me, but Joe couldn't get them to hold still or look anything but super annoyed.  Which picture is your favorite??  I can't decide between #2 or #4.  Also, I'd like to point out that Joe had two hands to use for cat wrangling and I only had one as I used my cell phone as the camera remote, but I still managed to get each cat to look at the camera.  Haha!!  I then proceeded to try to get a cute one of just Kira and Arien but they were refusing to sit together.  I finally managed to get a picture of them together and called it good enough.  They were so annoyed with us by the time we were done.  😂

Natalie's Senior Session

I had so much fun on this chilly morning doing Natalie's Senior Session!  We did these at her home so (some) of her pets could be included.  To be clear, Buddy (the doggo) just followed us around and posed himself.  😂  I've known Natalie's family for many years, but never really got to know Natalie since she's quite a bit younger than me.  I have to say, Natalie is so sweet and laid back.  After the session, I stuck around and we talked about our love of art and animals.  I know that no matter what Natalie decides to pursue, she'll love it and do well!  💓

Migi's Mini Session

I'm just gonna get this out of the way: ISN'T MIGI SO CUTE??!?!?!  AHHHH!!!  Okay, so needless to say, I was pretty dang excited when I was asked to photograph a puppy.  😁  We wanted a balance of showing off how small he is as well as letting his personality shine.  So, I grabbed just a few props for some posed pictures, and then we just let him play!  It was so fun!  For being only about 3 months old, he's incredibly well-trained already.  That said, my favorite picture is the one of him on the red blanket, and he was totally peeing when I took that.  😂  If you want to watch this little dude grow up, you can follow him on IG by going to: https://www.instagram.com/migi_the_dachshund/

Prints Available to Purchase

Photographing animals is a passion of mine!  One of the projects I have been working on is going through the photographs I've taken that aren't for clients, but are for my own enjoyment.  I've picked out my favorite photographs, sorted them into galleries, and made them available for purchase.  These galleries represent many years of work, much of which has been published on one of my blogs.  You can find all the galleries under Hobby Work on my website by going to: https://www.rachelwilhelmphotography.com/hobbywork
You can be creative in what you design!  Get framed prints for you walls as well as magnets, cards, books, ornaments, and more!  Thanks for looking!  😊

Big Cats

This gallery is filled with pictures I have taken of big cats in zoos.  I love cats of all sizes, and the numerous photos I have meant that the cats needed their own gallery.  You can see this gallery by going here.

Mammals

This gallery is the one that will likely see the most growth until it needs to be sorted again and split into smaller categories.  You can see this gallery by going here.

Birds

I haven't always enjoyed photographing birds, but recently I have been focusing on them and felt they needed their own gallery.  You can see this gallery by going here.

Sea Life

I have to admit that I sometimes feel uncomfortable around some of the sea life you'll see in this gallery, but that hasn't stopped me from trying to get the best possible photo of them.  You can see this gallery by going here.

Tarcil

This gallery is definitely the most unique!  Within this gallery you will find the results of what started as more of a hobby for me and then become so much more!  I have over a thousand pictures of my hamster, Tarcil, so it was difficult to narrow it down to my favorite, but you can see them here!

Fine Art

This gallery is a small gallery and is a bit of an assortment of pictures.  It is mostly made up of my favorite photographs I have taken of flowers, but there is also a small collection of instruments and other things.  Check it out by going here.

Tarcil's 3rd Costume Edition eBook!

This is from one of my other blogs which focuses on my little hamster named Tarcil.  I am so excited to announce this that I had to share it on here too! I have been working on this for a few months. This will be the final eBook I make of Tarcil, so you don't want to miss it!

This eBook is 60 pages of Tarcil in adorable handmade costumes! Read the stories of each character he dressed up as! You can purchase this eBook for $2.99 on Amazon! :) Below you can see a sample of what is inside! I thought the St. Patrick's Day and Easter were perfect for this time of year! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Tarcil is really enjoying being spoiled when he is awake, which isn't often. He is normally curled up, sleeping in his nest. He currently has his nest where I can see him, which is super convenient for me to check on him every couple hours. I truly appreciate all the well-wishes for Tarcil! The love and support I have gotten from everyone is such a blessing!
